Tragic news has surfaced regarding Nigerian actor and content creator Odira Nwobu, who has reportedly passed away. The devastating announcement was made on Monday via a Facebook post by Awuzie Frankline, a fellow content creator, who shared a video of Nwobu’s lifeless body.
Although the exact circumstances of his death remain unclear, reports suggest that the actor passed away just hours after a night out in South Africa over the weekend. In a series of emotional posts, Frankline expressed his shock and grief, writing: “God, why? ODIRA, why leave us… The call I received now was not a good one. #Odiegwu.”
In another heart-wrenching post, Frankline reflected on the actor’s recent vibrancy: “You were full of life just hours ago in South Africa. You even had your Thanksgiving service a few months ago with so many people celebrating with you. How could you return from South Africa lifeless? Honestly, I am drowning in tears. Death is rude. I am heartbroken.”
Comedian Evan Okoro also shared her disbelief on Facebook, posting a picture of Nwobu and writing, “How no? I can’t believe this, nooooo.”
Earlier this year, Nwobu was involved in a serious car accident, which was widely reported. A viral video captured the harrowing scene of bystanders pulling victims from the wreckage, further adding to the heartbreak surrounding his passing.
