Newcastle United have completed the signing of Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest, bringing an end to a three-year quest to fill their long-standing right-wing vacancy. The Swedish international joins Eddie Howe’s side after weeks of tense negotiations, including a last-minute standoff over the player’s agency representation.
The transfer, valued at £55 million, also benefits Elanga’s former club, Manchester United, through a sell-on clause. At just 23 years old, Elanga arrives on Tyneside after a standout season with Forest, where he notched 17 goal involvements and helped the team secure European football.
