EFCC Arrests Six Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Uyo

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended six individuals in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, over alleged involvement in internet fraud.
This was announced in a statement issued on Saturday by Dele Oyewale, Head of Media and Publicity for the EFCC.
According to the statement, operatives from the EFCC’s Uyo Zonal Directorate carried out the intelligence-led operation in the Ekamba and Ekpri Nsukara areas of Nwaniba. During the raid, officials recovered eight mobile phones and two laptops believed to have been used in the fraudulent activities.
The EFCC confirmed that the suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
